Children of the Corn

two characters from the 1984 Children of the Corn

Courtney Gains as Malachi Then:  Did anyone else think he was attractive in a creepy sort of way?

Now:

Since his first role in Children of the Corn he has been in many films including:Cant Buy Me Love, Back to the Future, The Burbs, Sweet Home Alabama, and a ton of B movies.  According to his website, you can send him "anything" and he will sign it for only $15, here is the address in case anyone is interested. John Franklin as Issac Then:

Now:

This is the most recent picture I could find, it's from Children of the Corn:666 in 1999.  Soon after he did this film, he would often chat with fans on his website, and one of the fans started stalking him and threatened to murder his wife.  So now he tries to stay out of the public eye,(except when working on a role) and off of the internet.

Courtney Gains said in an interview that people still yell "OUTLANDEEEEER!" at him when he's out and about.

Whoever cast that movie did an excellent job in finding a whole bunch of really creepy children.

My son is named Malachi after the Malachi in Children of the Corn.

His dad had a dream since he was young to have a red-headed son named Malachi, and he got his wish. Now to see if he can live up to his namesake.

Did his dad have the dream before or after Children of the Corn?

After, I think. He saw the movie when he was young, and just always wanted a kid like that. O.o

I should probably be worried, but oh well.

Thaaaaaat's a little disturbing. Let's just hope your Malachi doesn't turn out like his namesake ;)

I'm fine with it as long as he doesn't kill me. :D

But he's such a momma's boy anyway. Of course, he's 2.5, sooo..

And yes, he has red hair. Not like, RED red, but it's reddish blonde.

HAHAH The red eyes just sold me.

No offense, it just seemed like well-timed redeye.

My old camera was good at showing the demons within. ;D (Which is why I picked that picture, instead of one with him looking like a normal kid. :P)

Courtney Gains! I wonder if he would sign a flaming bag of poo? "You shit on my house!"

:)

YOU SHIT ON MY HOUSE!

He scared the crap out of me in Children of the Corn. TOOOO creepy.
Now that I know he was the one yelling "You shit on my house" in Can't Buy Me Love, I can shrug off the whole creepy factor. LOL

My friend and I always imitate Courtney's laugh in Back to the Future when he's dancing with Lorraine.

I fucking loved that movie when I was a kid. I saw it in the theater with my Dad, I must have been about 7 years old. I remember getting upset when they killed the dog yet cheering when they killed people hahahaha.

I was exactly the same, I hated them killing the dog, but loved killing the people!! I am still like that even today when I see any type of film.

lol same here, I retained that love for animals and ambivalence for humans (at least on film)
